  Ryan Hammerton
Chair

Ryan was born in Mildura and has grown up heavily-involved with the family business, Hammerton’s Jewellers.

After obtaining two bachelor degrees through La Trobe University (Business/Computing), he spent years working with an international IT firm.

Upon returning to Mildura in 2003, re-entered the business and subsequently purchased the business with his wife, Clare, from his father Ian in 2009, becoming the fifth generation of Hammertons to run the business.

In 2011 the business expanded by purchasing Etheringtons The Jewellers.

For several years during this period Ryan held the position of Deputy Chair of Mildura City Traders and is passionate about ensuring the future of the City Heart.

    Anna Sullivan
Deputy Chair

Anna was born and educated in New Zealand. After graduating from the University of Auckland, she worked as a Solicitor in Melbourne.  During that time Anna married her husband Nigel and started raising a family.

In 2009, they took a chance on a tree change and moved to Mildura to enjoy the benefits of regional living.

Anna is an active member of kindergarten, school and sporting committees. She recognises the importance of supporting these organisations so that members and the wider community can benefit from improved resources and having some fun along the way.

Anna has a passion for community development and placemaking, and is thrilled to be involved in a new era of the City Heart.

    Cassandra Circosta
Treasurer

Cassandra was born in Mildura and for the last 7 years has owned and operated Banjo's Bakery Cafe in the Langtree Mall with her husband David.

Together with their small children they are members of many sporting and school communities, enjoying the lifestyle that living in an active diverse regional city allows them.

As both a customer and a trader of the Mildura City Cassandra sees the massive potential of the CBD area and is passionate about showcasing the City Heart as a vibrant inclusive meeting place for the Mildura community.

She is excited to join the City Heart as a director and hopes that together with the board, the CBD traders, and the Mildura community, the City Heart can continue to run important major events and activities that involve and excite the local community and the many tourists that come to Mildura.

    Tim Aldridge
Director

I have been a City Heart Trader since 2002 and owner of a shop in the middle of the City Heart since then.  While my wife ran the successful business we were active participants in all City Heart activities.

We have since sold the business and become landlords but have watched how difficult it has been for small City Heart Traders to survive, let alone thrive, as our business had when we operated it.

For the last 7 years I have been part-owner and Director of Collie & Tierney First National Real Estate, a City Heart business, professional rather than retail, yet we still employ over 30 staff within our office.  We manage many of the City Heart shops and understand the different challenges all City Heart businesses face.  Mildura critically needs a strong city centre and city centre traders need support to continue to not just survive, but to thrive.

I hope to be able to support the growth of a strong relationship between Council and City Heart Traders and the creation of a model of funding between Traders and Mildura Rural City Council which will see Mildura City be the shopping heart of our region and the place to be if visiting and shopping in our region, for now and into the future.
